YOUNG, WILD – AND SUPPORTED
We support young people because we firmly believe in the positive impact cycling can have on their lives, learning and personal growth. Through both success and failure, experiencing team spirit as well as the challenge of standing on their own, we'll develop ambition rising to new tasks and discovering the unique value of doing sport in nature.
Through cycling, they also learn tolerance and acceptance beyond all boundaries—because the passion for the sport unites us, no matter where someone comes from or who they are. On the bike, we are all equal.
„It’s all about the joy of cycling. A passion for competitive sport will grow naturally from there."
Roman Arnold
FROM BABY RIDERS TO TEEN WHEELERS
For many children, kindergarten or the journey there is their first real introduction to riding a bike. However, this early contact often fades quickly for various reasons. We firmly believe that this age is a crucial time to nurture a love for cycling, develop balance and coordination and introduce basic riding skills in a playful and supportive way.
Children between the ages of 7 and 12 can begin to develop more advanced cycling skills and start exploring different disciplines. During this phase, they refine their technique, build endurance and gain their first experiences in competition. Riding on trails or light off-road terrain is especially fun for them and it also boosts balance and coordination. This age is ideal for sparking a lasting enthusiasm for the sport and laying a strong foundation for future development.
For young people aged 13 to 18, cycling can be an exciting sport - offering not only fun but also opportunities for performance development and competitive experience. At this age, their physical and technical skills are already well developed, allowing them to explore disciplines like road cycling more deeply and aim for personal goals. They continue to build endurance, strength, and strategy—whether aiming for success in competitions or simply broadening their skills and capabilities on the bike.
For young adults between 19 and 21, cycling enters an especially exciting and demanding phase. At this stage, many athletes find themselves between ambitious amateur or semi-professional levels and the potential for a career in competitive sport.
They typically already possess advanced skills and a solid understanding of training, competition, and the mental aspects of the sport. Since many are already active in clubs, we work closely with partners in our club network to develop targeted support programs tailored specifically to this age group.
