The Generation Ride Foundation is a legally recognized public foundation under civil law, based in Koblenz. It is registered in the Foundation Register of Rhineland-Palatinate and is supervised by the Aufsichts- und Dienstleistungsdirektion Rheinland-Pfalz in accordance with the provisions of the Rhineland-Palatinate foundation law.

The Generation Ride Foundation is, according to the notice of the Koblenz Tax Office dated 08.12.2025, exempt from corporation tax pursuant to § 5 (1) no. 9 of the German Corporate Tax Act (KStG) and from trade tax pursuant to § 3 no. 6 of the German Trade Tax Act (GewStG). It exclusively and directly promotes charitable purposes within the meaning of §§ 51 ff. of the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung, AO).
